The National Insurance Institute’s 2009 Report tells us that 34%, over 1 in 3, of Israeli children live below the poverty line. The Jerusalem Institute of Justice, together with volunteers and activists from communities and municipalities in Israel, facilitates a project each year whereby we distribute thousands (and sometimes tens of thousands – depending on your donations) of new school bags filled with study supplies to underprivileged pre-school, elementary school and high school students throughout the nation of Israel.
