About Michael Decker

After studying biblical history and theology at the Israel College of the Bible, Michael went on to complete a degree in law from the Ramat Gan Academic College of Law, with an emphasis on civil rights. He majored in constitutional law while focusing on the relationship between religion and state within the Nation of Israel and equal protection by law of minority religious groups. He is a member of the Israeli Bar Association. Michael joined the Jerusalem Institute of Justice in 2006 and currently serves as Senior Legal Activist.

Michael specializes in immigration law and civil rights with a focus on prevention of illegal discrimination based on one's religious affiliation.

In addition to his work for the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, Michael works at one of the leading law firms in Israel where he specializes in real estate law, corporate law and charity law, granting ongoing consultation to many non-profit organizations in Israel focusing upon education, humanitarian needs, social justice and civil rights.
